We respect the privacy our users and visitors of www.remodelauction.com. and have developed this policy effective as of the date set forth above. The following is to provide general guidelines as to the type of information gathered and how it may be used. Collection and Use of Information
Registration and Enrollment
When submitting a service request or to enroll as a prospective service professional, a user must first register with us. Registration requires the user to give contact information including name, address, type of work requested and email address. We use this information to contact the user about services for which they have expressed interest, to inform service professionals of a new work order, and/or inform customers about service professionals that will be performing the work. By submitting the request you expressly consent to being contacted by us and by our service professionals and providers via phone, fax, email, mail or in person, at any of your contact numbers or addresses.
Work Request
We request information from the property owner in our service request form. A user must provide detailed information about the service requested. Financial information including credit card number, expiration date may be collected. This information may be used to pre-qualify the property owner's ability to pay for the requested services or to prepay for a consultation from Remodel Auction, including Auction Listing Fees. Participation in the pre-qualification process makes the user eligible for rewards and sweepstakes that may be offered from time to time.
Testimonials
Additionally, we collect feedback from users called testimonials about the performance of Service Professionals who work for them. We also collect general feedback and testimonials from users of our service and system. By providing such feedback to us, you consent to our use, publication and/or distribution of such feedback at no compensation to you. Remodel Auction typically will not disclose the identity of the installers in our system.
User Data
Remodel Auction collects personal information when you register and use our services or when you visit Remodel Auction pages or the pages of certain Remodel Auction partners, and when you enter promotions or sweepstakes. Remodel Auction may combine this information about you with information we obtain from business partners or other companies.
When you register we ask for information such as your name, email address, birth date, gender, zip code, occupation, industry, and personal interests. We may also ask for your address, Social Security number, and information about your property and suitability. Once you register with Remodel Auction and sign up with for our services, you are not anonymous to us.

Remodel Auction may set and access cookies on your computer. Remodel Auction lets other companies that show advertisements on some of our pages set and access their cookies on your computer. Other companies' use of their cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not this one. Advertisers or other companies do not have access to Remodel Auction cookies. Newsletter and Offers
We send new members a welcoming email to verify password and username. Established members will occasionally receive information on products, services, special deals, and a bi-monthly newsletter.
Customer Service
We communicate with users on a regular basis to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via email, fax, phone or mail, and we reply to user inquiries via email or phone, or other reasonable means, in accordance with the user's wishes where applicable.
Sharing Information to Provide Services and to Conduct Our Business
When you submit information to Remodel Auction, you authorize us to share this information with our network of service professionals and partners in order to try to provide the services you request. For example, when an approved member of our service professional network is hired, and that user indicates what personal information they are willing to share so that the service professional can contact the user, such as telephone numbers, physical addresses and email addresses, that information is shared with our service professionals.
Though we strive to preserve user privacy, due to the existing regulatory environment, we cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personal information will always remain confidential. Remodel Auction will not be responsible or otherwise liable for any use or disclosure of your personal information by a third party to whom Remodel Auction is allowed to disclose your personal information under this privacy policy. Remodel Auction may share activity or statistical information with partners, advertisers or others, but such information shall not contain personally identifiable information. Users who no longer wish to receive our newsletter and promotional communications may opt-out of receiving these communications by replying to unsubscribe in the email or email us at info@remodelauction.com.
